Local and international DJs play everything from hip hop through to trance every night at venues right across Sydney. You could try Tank for R&B, Yu for an intimate club, the amazing Favela with it’s famous 8,000 lights that pulse in time to the beat, and the great Home that has everything. Elsewhere there are pubs like the Cargo Bar that play funky tunes. In the club upstairs some of Sydney’s best DJs play dance and house beats.

If you fancy a quieter night out check out some of Sydney’s numerous wine bars. Mille Vini has 400 wines for you to choose, Time to Vino has a friendly vibe and the Ash St Cellar offers delicious tapas and wine by the glass. I also recommend checking out the decor at the Water Bar in Woolloomooloo. Check out the Water bar virtual tour here.

Sydney nightlife Other beautiful venues include the Moroccan themed Hemmesphere, French style at Apertif, antique furniture and silk ceilings at De Nom, and chandeliers and gold walls at the Ruby Rabbit.

Sydney’s live music scene is alive and kicking. For Jazz and blues check out Vanguard and Basement . The 1920s art-deco Supper Club hosts some good jazz sessions. Or if you fancy moshing the night away check out venues like The Factory, The Metro, Annandale Hotel, and the Mona Vale Hotel.
